Biography
Mrs. Scott has had a love for Theatre since she was young and shares that passion with her students in class and on stage. She is an educator because she loves seeing students challenge themselves and succeed in ways they never imagined. Mrs. Scott received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of North Texas and taught previously at Mansfield Legacy High School where she directed Buckley nominated musicals and Area Advancing One Act Plays. She also holds her Master of Arts in Theatre from the University of Houston and graduated in December of 2016. She has worked with Lincoln Center in NYC, Steppenwolf Theatre and the Actor's Workshop in Chicago and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Mrs. Scott is a proud member of the Texas Educational Theatre Association and the United Educators of America. She believes that Theatre gives students a place to belong, an increase in self confidence and tools that will benefit students for their entire lives regardless of career choice. Outside of school Mrs. Scott loves serving with her husband as the Worship Pastors at her church, Living Church, playing with her puppy Pete, and traveling the world! Link to my DIGITAL PORTFOLIO |
